Travel Photography Margate, Kent

Travel photography does not always mean leaving your country. On this occasion I travelled around the M25 to Margate in Kent for some travel and street photography.

It was the start of the heatwave in 2026 and the conditions could not have been better. 

The coastal location and being close to London gives the town a unique feel. There was a constant stream of people coming in on the train from London, many heading straight for the beach. 

I stayed 2 nights so it was long enough for an introduction to the town, but a return visit is a must for getting to know Margate.

My images are a mix of travel photography and street photography and are a bit more vibrant than my normal style, but it was what the situation called for.
