Pride 2026

I getting back into event photography and as I haven't been to Pride for a few years it seemed a good place to start.

​

The weather for Pride 2026 was very hot with bright sunshine and apart from the need for regular hydration stops the conditions were perfect. 

​

I was handing business cards out to everyone I photographed and said I would share the images. As I showed the images on the back of my camera I was offered payment by many people. If I had gone there with the intention of charging for images I would have asked everyone for payment, so I decided to share all the images free of charge.

I didn't realise how many images I would be sending out and may have to change my strategy next year.

​

What I did get from sharing the images was the total freedom to take the images I wanted and not feel pushed to create sterile images.

​

I am continuing the event photography this year and next year I plan to move it to a more commercial basis

​
